Heather is passionate about healthcare, and is dedicated to helping her clients achieve a healthier, more balanced life. From a young age, she knew that she was going to pursue a career in the healthcare field, and after researching many different modalities, fell in love with Traditional Chinese Medicine. In particular, she felt drawn to the notion that in order to properly treat an individual, you have to treat their entire body. She believes that this is best achieved through the application of all different forms of Traditional Chinese Medicine; including acupuncture, cupping, dietary and lifestyle recommendations, and acupoint and trigger point injection therapy.Heather is a graduate of the five year Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine program at PCU College of Holistic Medicine in Burnaby, BC, and is a Registered Acupuncturist with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of British Columbia. In addition to her schooling, Heather has received supplementary training and certification in acupoint and trigger point injection therapy through the Society for Acupoint Injection Therapy (S.A.I.T) located in White Rock, BC.
As a new transplant to Vancouver Island, Heather enjoys exploring all of the beautiful scenery that her new home has to offer. Recent favourites include hunting for vintage treasures in Downtown Nanaimo, hiking up Mount Benson, and of course, enjoying the odd ice cream (or two!) from Coombs.
